Dracula's legend, became myth in century XIX - XX, was born in collected brace with historic figure of romanian prince Vlad Tepes, wich reign has been between 1456 - 1462. Even first mention of Count Dracula appear in novel Bram Stoker - "Dracula" (1897), not Stroker was who invented this name. Stroker doesn't know nothing about historical character, but he found the name in one of the books that he study ("About Principalitys Valahiei and Moldovei, 1820), where exist a little mention of overlord Dracula and he's fight against turkys. The thing that get Stroker's atention over the nameit was the author note wich specify that "Dracula" means in romanian "fiend" and, even the intention was to name he's character "Contele Wampyr",he thinks that the name "Dracula" is better.
More then anything, mythical character Dracula is knew for he's unmeasurable cruetly. Drewing in sort, one of the dreary mods to die, it was the torture method and perfect execution of Dracula, from here is he's name, Vlad Tepes (Tepes means in romanian "sort" so if we translate again is " Vlat the Sort "). He's cruetly punishment for no loyality and honesty coincide with he's name. In romanian language he means "dracul". In 1421, Romanian Saint King Sigismund of Luxemburg name he's father Dracula, Vlad II, with Dragon's order, a chivalrous order dedicated for fights against turkys. The order emblem was a dragon, symbol of the fiend. From this reality, recorded by history, till legend it remains just a step...
Count Dracula it wasn't the first vampire from literature history - vampires exist in folklore from hundred years, but Stroker used diffrent information about local legends from Transilvania, and from english literature of XIX century.
